Oxford Grammar School, since its inception has endeavoured and strived to provide curricular and extra curricular activities to the students. The Motto of our school ‘Knowledge is power’ proved to be true and we proudly wants to share the most applauded brought by our student, master P.Pavan Kumar of class X, who is Nominated for the Balashree award from our state for his Marvelous project on Energy Efficient Hover craft. He was felicitated on 14th Nov, 2008 by the Honourable Chief Minister of A.P Dr.Y.S.Rajasekhara Reddy.

Master P.Pavan Kumar will take part in the final rounds, which is going to take place in Delhi, where in he will be competing with other states students to bag the most prestigious “Balashree” award.

OGS provides strong platform to all students coming from different backgrounds irrespective of financial status and community through the help of the latest teaching methods to enable then to empower their hidden talents by organizing numerous events like workshops, grilling session, brainstorming activities like quiz, debates, etc, which in turn enable the students to compete at National & International level both in academic as well as in sports. One such event which is very fresh in our minds is participation of our students in International Children’s Film Festivals held in Iran & Italy as Jury Members.

INTACH NATIONAL AWARD
TO
OXFORD GRAMMAR SCHOOL
It is heartening to experience that the Heritage Clubs at School and College level established nationwide with a purpose to bring awareness about Heritage and Culture. Young INTACH participants are tomorrows citizens to take up the responsibility protection of Art, Culture and Heritage and they have shown considerable interest and concern and a commendable participation in the activities related to Heritage and culture.
The Heritage Clubs of twin cities have participated very actively in the programmes undertaken by INTACH A.P.,State Chapter for the several years now. The national recognition has come to city’s Oxford Grammar School, Himayathnagar by honouring its club with the prestigious national award which is a single award, presented every year by INTACH, New Delhi. I appreciate the efforts and involvement of the Oxford INTACH Heritage Club in all our programmes since its establishment.
I appreciate Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan for securing a consolation prize among the 5 clubs at National level. Similarly the other INTACH Heritage Clubs of twin cities are exceptionally doing well with the programmes entrusted to them. Hopefully in the next one or two years the number of INTACH Heritage clubs will increase and will be instrumental in spreading heritage awareness. I appreciate and thank H.E.C.S., New Delhi, the education department and INTACH heritage school clubs for rendering their cooperation to INTACH activities to succeed in its endeavour

We, the students, staff and management of Oxford Grammar School, Himayatnagar, Hyderabad feel proud to know that Oxford Heritage Club has been awarded by INTACH at national level as an appreciation for its active participation in the programmes undertaken by INTACH, Hyderabad chapter and at the same time we thank INTACH a lot for encouraging us by honoring the heritage club of our school.

Oxford Heritage Club was started long back and put many efforts from its inception involving itself in the programmes of protecting the monuments and heritage buildings to promote the Indian culture and architectures of its kind. The members of the club under the guidance and Honorable Directors of Oxford Grammar School, Mr. Veda Kumar took the responsibility to bring the awareness of preserving the heritage building among the public as they stand at the symbols of Indian heritage so that the future generation will understand the greatness of our country.

Our students had taken up same activities which are worth mentioning like presenting some antiques depicting the old cultures of our country in the seminars conducted by INTACH. Many times the students visited the monuments like Paighan tombs, Chow Mahalla Palace etc. as a part of heritage works.

They collected some pictures of the old buildings and different structures and shapes of the Deccan Rock. On the whole our club members participated in many activities to enrich heritage education.

Master. M.S.R. Harith Kumar of X ‘B’ received Bala Ratna Award for The topic Creative Scientific Innovation
(Heat energy & Geo thermal energy) from Chief Minister Y.S. Raja Shekar Reddy on 14th November 2007 at “Bal Bhavan”.

Having started as primary school in 1981, today the 1800 young and energetic pupils in the pursuit of knowledge, stands as a silent testimony for the phenomenal popularity and growth of the institution.

The Oxford Grammar School student Subash of X was selected as a recipient of prize, for his best speech on "What do children expect from a working mother". The elocution was held at school premises organized by Red Cross Society A.P State branch on 4th December 1998 the selected student received this prize from the Governor his excellency Mr.Ranga Rajan on 5th September 1999.

Every child ought to be more intelligent than his parents. The Oxford Grammar School follows the tradition of awarding prizes for their brilliancy in academics during the annual school day function. Mr. Pramod Talgery Vice-Chancellor, central institute of English and Foreign Languages has awarded a prize to one of the students during 19th Annual Day Celebrations during 1999-2000.
