We, the students, staff and management of Oxford Grammar School, Himayatnagar, Hyderabad feel proud to know that Oxford Heritage Club has been awarded by INTACH at national level as an appreciation for its active participation in the programmes undertaken by INTACH, Hyderabad chapter and at the same time we thank INTACH a lot for encouraging us by honoring the heritage club of our school.
Oxford Heritage Club was started long back and put many efforts from its inception involving itself in the programmes of protecting the monuments and heritage buildings to promote the Indian culture and architectures of its kind. The members of the club under the guidance and Honorable Directors of Oxford Grammar School, Mr. Veda Kumar took the responsibility to bring the awareness of preserving the heritage building among the public as they stand at the symbols of Indian heritage so that the future generation will understand the greatness of our country.
Our students had taken up same activities which are worth mentioning like presenting some antiques depicting the old cultures of our country in the seminars conducted by INTACH. Many times the students visited the monuments like Paighan tombs, Chow Mahalla Palace etc. as a part of heritage works.
They collected some pictures of the old buildings and different structures and shapes of the Deccan Rock. On the whole our club members participated in many activities to enrich heritage education.
