Oxford Grammar School celebrated the 4th graduation day ceremony of their U.K.G students on 8th April 2013 in the schools play ground. Mr.Adityavardhan Raju Deputy Inspector of schools was the chief guest and Mrs M.Prarthana executive member of Vikas Educational Academy grace the occasion. Mrs Ramanjula the principal of CBSE wing read out the report of the Pre-Primary activities for the academic year 2012-2013. The day's program started with a welcome song by L.K.G students followed by Lambada Dance by Nursery students. The U.K.G students wearing graduation gowns and caps walked on to the stage to receive their certificates from the chief guest & M.Prarthana. The outgoing students were wished best of luck and a bright future. The parents of the graduates cheered the program and appreciated the management.

To keep the tradition of celebrating festival of colours "Holi" ongoing and to fill the hearts of tiny kids with colourful, radiant and vibrant sentiments, the Oxford Grammar School , Himayatnagar celebrated Holi the festival of colours in their school play ground on 26th March 2013. To inculcate awareness of environmental protection and preservation tiny tots were allowed to use only natural colours . They danced to a tune of melodious music and enjoyed throwing colours . It was a program of gay & gaiety . The parents witnessed the program and we made them to believe in the adage that todays children are tomorrows conservationist.

Grandparents hold a special place in the hearts of their grandchildren, and Oxford Grammar School invited their grandparents to spend time with their grandchildren at school. The school held its Grandparents Day on 15th Feb 2013.

Addressing the grandparents chairman Mr.Vedakumar congratulated the grandparents for being an ideal pace maker for their kids. He expressed that grandparents should give exposure for the kids in learning curricular and Co-curricular activities.

"We always have an opportunity to see our parents... come in. But we know that our grandparents play a major role in the lives of our students. Grandparents Day provides us with the opportunity to build confidence between students, families & our staff. "It helps us build , relationship with the grandparents and creates a bridge between home and school.
The school organized special games in which kids and grandparents together could take part in.
The function started with the prayer and special performances done by kids. Then the function moved ahead with the activity session where the grandparents i.e all the dado's & dadi's , nana's & nani's became just childlike while doing the activities. All of them did complete the games till the end with tremendous joy and enthusiasm. By being with kids the grandparents looked as if their life had sparkled again.
The day was capped off with the grandparents and guests visiting the classrooms that were proudly showed off by the students.

A festive activity enables the students to learn and know the importance of festivals. OGS management held Pongal festival celebrations for Pre- primary classes on 10th January in their school play ground. Students enjoyed coloring the Rangoli and flew kites in the vast play ground. On this occasion Rangoli competition for the Pre-Primary parents and for the OGS students was held and the winners were given away the prizes. Parents appreciated the staff and the management for giving an opportunity to students in the cities to know the enjoyment of festivals.

The pre-primary wing of Oxford Grammar School under the guidance of school management celebrated Christmas with a festive spirit on 21st December , 2012 at the school premises.

To explore the creativity of little minds the school organized a cake decoration activity within the classrooms as a part of the celebration. The sweet little ones of kindergarten made this festive season wonderful and colorful by presenting a skit related to the birth of Jesus Christ where they dressed in lovely costumes as Santa Claus, Joseph , Mother Mary, The Kings ( three Wiseman ) and the shepherds . The program was followed by a dance and Christmas carols by the teacher which ended well. There was the Christmas Spirit and merriment throughout the programme.

Oxford Grammar School management has organized a program on 15th December, 2012. The theme for the program was 'Community Helpers'. The program was ushered in by a ram walk by the kindergarten students.

Headmistress of our school Mrs.Vajra and Mrs Ramanjula made a humble beginning by a warm and heartfelt welcome speech . The tiny tots of the school presented their fountain of talents by speaking few lines on their different characters like Doctor , Carpenter , Teacher etc and wore their dresses accordingly. The whole show was a wonderful fusion of different community helpers by a harmonious blend of music and rhythm.

A fashion show with teachers highlighting their latent talent added to the fervor of the morning with an amazing enthusiasm and zeal accomplished with lots of applause.

The program ended in a beautiful resonance lingering in the minds of everyone.

Today the Primary Classes I to III have gone to an educational trip to Mahaveer Harina Vanasthali National Park. We started at 10’ o clock from the school. It is a national foret in the city of Hyderabad.

The park has several attractions for the children. The Butterfly Park is one of them. Children enjoyed the screening on wildlife and Environment.
Children enjoyed eating lunch with their friends. They played many games in the well maintained lawns. The Safari Park was the added attractions.

As a part of our monthly field trip we planned to visit an Orphanage in Musheerabad named 'Navjeevan' today i.e 27th November , 2012 to do some charity work. We arrived at the Orphanage at 9.30 am. It was very quiet with some children at school and others just coming back from school. The children were well behaved while we were there. We handed out blankets, soaps etc to the children. They all really seemed to appreciate what we gave them. The Orphanage had seventy children. The cute angles were staring at us with awe. Firstly , we gave them all the presents and things , donated by the kind-hearted . then the children there performed a song and dance to welcome us which was amazing . The angles at the Orphanage felt as happy as larks with us around.

The main reason for our visit was to make the Orphanage a better place for kids to live in . The children have a good school system because the school is connected to school ready for them with a curriculum that follows the national education standard . The place is adequate enough to live . The provides safety and comfort for the children. We realize that the Orphanage still needs a lot more to improve in terms of services for children , but we were happy to see that attempts have been made by some responsible individual and organizations to provide the best care possible for the children . Things are not perfect and may never be perfect , but striving for better is the message that we try to convey to our students.

Perhaps in future , these students are the ones that will think about new ways, new interventions that work . Let’s always stay hopeful.

Oxford Grammar School's Pre - Primary wing celebrated Dusshera in the school play ground. The celebration was filled with great joy and enthusiasm in the presence of their parents.

Tiny tots dressed up like Ram, Lakshman , Sita , Ravan and Durga.
They showcased our rituals and traditions through "Bathukamma". Mrs Sulochana Vedakumar M.D, V.K.Children's World graced the occasion.

On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanthi. The pre primary children dressed themselves as Gandhiji and of my speech in the assembly.

Oxford Pre – primary kids ( SSC / CBSE ) celebrated Ramzan on 18th August 2012 in their school premises as part of their year planner.

Pre Primary students of S.S.C & C.B.S.E celebrated Sri Krishna Janmashtami as part of their curriculum with gait & valour. boys were dressed up as lord Krishna and girls as gopikas. There was pot breaking activity which students played with great joy.

SSC Pre Primary students make their own rakhees and celebrates and distribute sweets.

Rakhi celebrations were celebrated in our school with pomp & gaiely . All the students participated.
