Having started as primary school in 1981, today the 1800 young and energetic pupils in the pursuit of knowledge, stands as a silent testimony for the phenomenal popularity and growth of the institution.

The 22nd  Sports Day of Oxford Grammar School was celebrated in a Frolicsome atmosphere to welcome the 32nd  National Games on December, 2002 at Children’s World Playground, Street No.11, Himayatnagar, Hyderabad, The Chief Guest of the Celebrations was Arjuna Awardee and Hockey Player Mr. N. Mukesh, the Guest of Honour was the International Eves Cricketer Miss. Mithali Raj, the programme was presided by the Honourary Director of the School Mr. M. Veda Kumar. The Report of the School was read by Head Mistress, Mrs. Sai Leela.

As the Guests entered into the ground, Guard of Honour was extended by the students the Guests took Salute from four houses i.e. Blue Bells, Red Roses, Green Champak and Sunflower, several Drill exercises performed by the pre-primary to High School students were the Eye feast to the visitors and parents

The Chief Guest in his speech advised the parents to guide their children to select their choice of activity and he insisted the parents to encourage the child to become master in that particular activity. He praised the School Management for arrangements for regular coaching in Games and Sports and Fine Arts apart from the Education.

The Guest of Honour Ms. Methali Raj in her brief speech advised the students to reach the goals with hard work as nothing is impossible in life if we try hard.

Mr. M. Veda Kumar in his presidential address said that Sports cultural must prevail in the minds of children for this purpose, children must be exposed to various kinds of Games and Sports, Fine Arts and performing Arts from Primary level onwards this will enable the children to become an eminent personality in their respective field.

As the 32nd National Games are going to take off on 13th December, 2002 which will continuous till educational Institutions and parents provide an have total information and must enable them said. 

At the end the students were given away the prizes for their excellent performance in various events
