34th Annual Games & Cultural Festival

Oxford Grammar School is celebrating 34th Annual Games & Cultural Festival on 27th & 28th Decí2014 (Saturday & Sunday). In connection with this, management, staff and students conducted games & Events for parents on 13th Decí2014 (Saturday). The feats planned for parents were Lemon & Spoon race, Balloon race, Hoola Hoop race, Volley ball, Musical chairs and Tug of war.

400 enthusiastic parents participated in different events and were enthralled to run and play different games, beat each other to grab the prizes.

The events were held for parents of SSC & CBSE. Pre-Primary, Primary from 09:00am to 12.30pm and for High School from 01:00pm to 04:00pm.

Chief guest Mr.Suresh Kumar, Deputy Education Officer, gave away the prizes and appreciated the efforts of management, who enabled the parent to spend a fun filled day. Parents expressed that they were reminded of their school days and felt like kids. They thanked the school management for such a unique event in spacious ground.

Oxford Grammar School celebrated its week long Sports meet closing ceremony cum 32nd Annual Sports Day on Sunday 11th November, 2012. The dignitaries present on the occasion were Mrs.Adilakshmi , Principal Oakridge International School Bachupally , Sri.K.Ranga Rao founder Director Adventure Club of A.P, Sri Vidhyadhar Reddy , Sri M.Vedakumar Chairman Chelimi Foundation .Mr.K.Prabhakar Director , Mr.Syed Saber Secretary and H.M’s Fahmida Shameem , Mrs.Vajra Kumari , Mrs.Ramanjula & Mrs.M. Sulochana Rani and Mrs.M.Prarthana.

The 2nd day’s program began with Guard of Honor escorted by our School Cabinet leaders. As a mark of our tradition the programme commenced with a prayer song.

The ground looked colourful with Marchpast by four houses Green Champaks, red Roses, Yellow Sunflowers and Blue Bells saluting the dignitaries.

On the occasion Chief Guest Mrs.Adilakshmi said that she was delighted to watch the Synchronize March Past and Drill displays, She appreciated Sports events organized and said that Sports is so essential element and it is the vision of the School to develop according to their potential and nurture. It helps in developing the kinaesthic skills like special intelligence, logistic intelligence and intra structural potentialities.

Mr.K.Ranga Rao Guest of Honor Congratulated Mr.M.Vedakumar for establishing such an esteemed institution bringing out the hidden talents by developing challenging spirit, fit and reaching their goals means of achievement and through extraordinary support rendered by the teachers when Oxfordians have gone to Araku Valley "Adventure Trip". He was impressed and over wheelmed with the team work spirit to overcome all problems and said that all the Oxfordians are lovers of nature.

Sri.D.Sri Nagesh in his speech delivered that Knowledge is Power and wisdom is the power to use the knowledge, these put together develops personality . He encouraged the students to think wisely which Rejuvinate to achieve goal. All the H.M's presented the Annual Sports Report .

Later the programme was followed by many events like 100 mts running race , Khabaddi , relay Race and programs like Lezyms , Dumbells , Tossil display , Torch Drill Display , Aerobics , Cultural programmes and , Leapstart participants presented impressive and mind blowing performances and entertained the audience.

Speeking on the occasion Mr.M.Vedakumar said that a child will become an Engineer , a sports person an artist a photographer or journalist based on parents and teachers grooming them. He said that Aim and the focus of O.G.S is to identify inherent potentiality ( inborn potentiality ) of the Children and encourage them to Learn .

The joy and to develop in them total skills for better citizen.
The Program came to an end with lowering of the flag.

Oxford Grammar School 32nd Sports Day celebrations were held in the School play ground. The dignitaries present on the occasion were Dr.T.R.k.Rao, IRTS Vice Chairman & Managing Director, SAAP (president) as the Chief Guest; Air Commodore Suresh Badhyal Deputy Director General NCC Directorate ; A.P, Dr.G.Bhanu Prakash Reddy Senior Scientist HOD Bio Chemistry & Deputy Director , NIN as Guest of Honour , Sri Ahmed Ali Curator , Salarjung Museum, Mr.Vedakumar Chairman O.G.S, Mrs.Fahmida Shameem ,Mrs.Vajarakumari, Mrs.Ramanjula and Mr Syed Saber Secretary graced the occasion.

As a mark to begin the commencement of Sports day Chief guest Dr.TRK.Rao and Air Commodore Suresh Badhyal lit the flame in the cauldron.

Sprawling play ground wore a festive look with colourful flays. The programme slated with Marchpast by four houses of OGS and they saluted the dignitaries.
On the occasion Mr.T.R.K.Rao in his speech said that he was impressed by the students endeavour to present a spectacular items and congratulated and encouraged the students. He appreciated our achievements for churning out budding scientists but we should aim in future to produce budding Olympiads.

He feels that a school is a source for perpetual process of learning. he laid an emphasis to cherish our passion which if practiced helps to reach our goal.

Bhanu Prakash Reddy Guest of honor emphasized to take Balanced Diet which would activate the dormant mind and the body. Ahmed Ali : He appreciated our Heritage corner which is enabling us to keep our Indianess intact.

Air commodore Suresh Badyal appreciated for organizing fantastic programme and was startled with the inherent potential of our students. He laid focus on the importance of N.C.C programme which gives us chance to learn through interaction through peer group activities.

Mr.Vedakumar is the power house of the Innovative ideas because of his deep insight O.G.S have imbibed ZEE learning programme , Leapstart fitness programme and encouraged Gaken Science Academy to learn through Demonstrations and practical experiments. His perennial guidance would definitely help us to catapult this institution to scale up and achieve new height of glory.
 
 

14th Kargil Victory Sports Festival 2012

Oxford Grammar School students secured 3rd place in Marchpast in the 14th Kargil Victory Sports festival 2012, held at YMCA, Narayanguda from 22nd August to 25th August 2012.

In Junior boys section HITESH – IXC Sunflower House secured 1st place in CHESS in the 14th Kargil Victory Festival 2012.

31st Annual Day Celebrations
held on 31st January 2012 at Hari Hara Kala Bhavan

Oxford Grammar School celebrated 31st Annual Day on 31st January 2012 at Hari Hara Kala Bhavan from 4 pm to 10 pm. This glittering function was attended by Sri.P.Ramakanth Reddy, I.A.S Commissioner, A.P. State Election Commission .Smt Amita Desai – Executive Director, Association for German Culture and Mr.Sri.Sajjad Shahid Core Committee member, INTACH Hyd, Chapter and member Heritage Conservation Committee of A.P. Colourful programme was presented by students like Holi Dance , Western Dance , Ulyses , Changing Colours of India etc.

Sri.P Ramakanth Reddy Chief Guest in his address congratulated the students and their parents. T alking on the occasion he appreciated the OGS vision for over all development, personality and holistic approach it gives for the students. He appreciated the encouragement of the management in providing a platform for holistic education and excellence in over all personality development. He also felt that; sports & games teach a student to prepare for the success from the failure. He appreciated the school for providing such a curriculum where the sports & games are made compulsory.

Smt.Amita Desai, the guest of the day addressing the audience appreciated the management for providing a healthy atmosphere for the students who spend 10 years in a school during their completion of studies. She felt that school helps to merge a student into various activities along with text books and syllabus. She said that education makes a person to take the challenge of standing up as an individual.

Mr.Sajjad Sahid who inaugurated photography Arts & crafts exhibition was over whelmed and appreciated the efforts of Mr.M.Vedakumar Chairman Chelimi Foundation in promoting the environment conservation.

Mr.M.Vedakumar Chairman Chelimi Foundation presiding over the meeting gave a profile of the school. Talking on the occasion he said that total education makes a student into a good human being and OGS is a cosmopolitan school with students from different communities study and he is proud to have his Alumini as team leaders in various positions and places . he expressed the need of value education which includes concern in conservation and protection of nature.

    • A.V.R.Vishnu IV C.B.S.E , secured 1st place in 22nd Annual Open Tournment U/10 years conducted by YMCA held on 3rd August 2011.
    • C.Sundara Aditya – IV C ( Blue Bells ) secured 3rd place in 22nd Annual Open Chess Tournment U/10 years held on 3rd August at YMCA , Narayanaguda.
    • S.Nikhil Raj – X " A" ( Sun Flower ) school captain and P. Bhavani – X " C " ( Red Roses ) house captain were selected for state Kho – Kho Team conducted by HDSGF – 2011.
    • U/17 boys & girls selection . coaching camp and tournament held at Prakasam District .A.P
    • OGS National Green Crops team organised and participated a rally from Vi & VII days students on 16th September.
    • "O"zone protection Day , around the school premises in Himayatnagar with 200 students to create an awareness on OZONE protection climate change , global warming and about protecting nature.
    • Oxford Grammar School - School captain selection were held in the OGS School ground through voting system from 8th , 9th & 10th classes after the candidates introduced themselves. He teachers were deputed as polling officers and election incharges on July 6th , 2011. Monish – X A (G.C ) , Nikhil Raj – X A ( S. F ) in boys and Apoorva – X A ( R.R ) and Meghana – XA ( B.B ) were selected as school captains.
 

Report on Sports cum Annual Day – 2008-2009

Oxford Grammar School Celebrated it’s 28th Sports-cum-Annual Day Celebrations for two days i.e. on 31st Jan & 1st Feb, 2009 at their school play ground in frolicsome atmosphere. A Festive Spirit was created with a well decorated playground and every little detail seen to. The students gave spectacular performance, which spoke of discipline and sportsmanship.

The dignitaries who were present on the 1st day, were Sri.Susheelkumar IPS, Former Director General of Police of A.P; Co-convenor INTACH Hyderabad Chapter was the chief guest and Sri P.Shankar, Asian Games Silver Medalist in Athletics was the Guest of Honour.

Mr.Susheelkumar, the chief guest of the occasion expressed his appreciation of the immense talents of the students, who performed with great expertise. He extolled the Management’s efforts to Nurture and Nourish the students with value based education for their all round development. Sri.P.Shankar, the Guest of Honour in his speech said he was amazed to watch the programmes performed by the Nursery kids who excel in their performance. The dignitaries who were present on the 2nd day of the celebration were Dr.P.Padmavathi, Vice Chancellor, Jawaharlal Nehru Architecture and Fine Arts University as the Chief Guest, Sri.L.Venkataramreddy, General Secretary, Andhra Pradesh Olympic Association as the guest of Honour. Dr.P.Padmavathi, while speaking on the occasion said that she was impressed by the spectacular performance and by the highly disciplined and groomed students of Oxford Grammar School. Sri.L.Venkatramreddy, the Guest of Honour said that he was impressed by the eye-catching performance of the students and staff for their efforts in making the programme a successful. Mr.M.Vedakumar, Chairman of Oxford Grammar School, while presiding over the function in his concluding speech advised the parents to give freedom to express to their wards and to give best child to the society and to allow lot of place to the child to play, he opined that a child should be respected.

Mrs.B.Saileela Reddy, H.M, a pillar of strength and support to the institution read the Annual Report Mr.M.L.Muralidhar Rao, Correspondent of the school graced the occasion. The programme kick started with the impressive March past by the Four Houses. Green Champak, Red Roses, Blue Bells, and Sunflower, which displayed order and uniformity. The students brought out the sparkle of the gems in their true colours. The oath was taken by the head girl on behalf of the entire school, then Mr.Susheelkumar, the Chief Guest declared the Sports Meet Open. The athletic events like Flat Race, Musical chair entertained the onlookers. The celebration continued with grand display of cultural programmes, which reflected variety of folk dances of our country.

It was followed by Aerobic dance brought out the grit and determination of the girls. Next pyramids formation by the high school boys displayed exemplary precision and daredevil techniques. The programme followed by the prize distribution. The prizes were given to the students for their excellent performance in various events of sports for general proficiency. The function closed with a Vote of Thanks.

on Parents Sports Meet
The management and staff however decided to celebrate the festival with a difference this year. Hence, various competitions and programmes were arranged for teachers in the school premises like memory games, 100 mt. running races, caroms, chess back walking, musical chairs, antyakshari. The winning teachers were applauded and would be awarded prizes on the occasion of Sports Valedictory function. Adding a feather to the colourful cap of OGS. The management and staff invited the parents and grand parents also to participate in many events and games.

24th and 25th Oct, i.e Saturday and Sunday, the school wore a festive look with teachers and volunteers students went here and there to make arrangements at their level best to welcome our esteemed guests- our parents. On 24th October, 09 at 10 A.M., our Chairman Mr.M.Vedakumar inaugurated Parent’s Sports Meet, started with Running Race. What we found were more number of ladies participated than gent parents. Around 55 parents participated. Our chairman Mr.M.Vedakumar, to boost the morale of the parents and also to encourage the participants he announced prizes for every round winner, apart from the final round winners of this events.

Oxford Grammar School celebrated its Valedictory function of 29th Sports & Cultural Meet on 7th Nov. The dignitaries present were Major K.S.Shiva Prasad as Chief Guest NCC Officer,2 Andhra Battalion, Sri. Chetan Anand, Arjuna Awardee, International Badminton player, as guest of honour.

Mr.M.Vedakumar, Chairman, presided over the programme, Major K.S.Shiva Prasad & Mr.Chetan Anand were the Guests. Mrs.Saileela, H.M, read the Valedictory Report. Mr.M.Muralidhar, Rao, Correspondent graced the occasion.

Major K.S.Shiva Prasad while speaking he said, OGS students are lucky to have such a spacious playground. Where their body, mind coordination develops. He is of the opinion that spiritually also develops along with Physical & Mental development. He proposed to extend his help by sending a chess coach to one school to coach them and promised that he would produce National Chess Champions front our school.

Mr.Chetan Anand, congratulated the management for organizing such a grand function. He was happy to witness that the school is providing both academic as well as extracurricular activities to the students. He expressed that sports and games helps to develop the character of a person.

Mr.M.Vedakumar in his presidential remark said that OGS is trying for total personality development and to construct a fellow human being with balance education. He promised to provide best school to the parents.

Which was followed by events like 4X100mts relays, Cricket display, Pyramids, folkdance, any many more.

Sri.M.Vedakumar Chairman OGS Presided over the function B.Saileela Reddy Head Mistress, Mr.M.Muralidhar Rao Correspondent were presented.

School playground wore the festive look with colorful flags. The 29th Annual Sports and Games celebrated for one week till 7th Nov. The torch, lit by Sri.L.Venkataram Reddy was brought by the students in a rally from liberty point by captains, vice captains and four houses of the school with full of energy and amidst the cheers and was handed over to the Chief guest, who lighted the torch lamp and hoisted the sports and games flag. Four houses of the school saluted the dignitaries and the head boy master Rishab Kanodia took the oath. Sports meet was declared open by the Chief Guest. Final games like musical chairs, 100 mtrs relay race were conducted, shuttle display wind display etc. were performed by the students. The meeting was presided over by Mr.M.Vedakumar, Chairman. Smt.C.S.Ramalaxmi, IFS. Govt of AP while speaking praised the school for taking part in co-curricular activities. Congratulated the students. She could see lot of handwork of teachers with the guidance by H M. She called the school as green school and expressed her hope that the students maintain this Heritage. She found that the green arch and ethos reflected school activities.

Mr.Venkatarama Reddy congratulated the students on this occasion and expressed hope that the school flourished to greater heights. He also proposed that he was ready to help the school. Mr. Qaiyum congratulated the students and expressed that they were lucky to have such a spacious playground and lovely atmosphere and hoped that may role models like Mr.Shoaib will come in real future. Mr. Shoaib felt happy to be presented on this occasion and to represent Oxford Grammar School. He said that always he dreamed of playing for his country, which has come true and also motivated the future cricketer of OGS.

And thanked all the audience and praised HM for her work and imparity a dynamic role in developing and encouraging curricular and co-curricular activities. Mr.M.Vedakumar, Chairman, Oxford Grammar School while presiding over the function in his concluding speech praised P.E.T. Teachers for their efforts. A strong intension to provide exposure in other fields particularly in physical education equally to the formal education made him to acquire the spacious play ground with proper infrastructure. He said that he is proud to see many Oxfordians excelling in many fields in India and abroad due to the exposure provide to them by the school.

As the guests entered into the ground, Guard of Honour was extended by the students. The guests took salute by the various houses of the school led by their respective captains. The oath was taken by the head girl.

The various drills that were put up like Mass Drill, Flag Display were a pretty sight of colour synchronization, Rhythm and Team work.

Athletic events like Running Race, Relays added to the excitement and thrill not only among the students but also among the onlookers. The spirit of true sportsmanship was evident everywhere.

Pyramid formation by the high school boys and Aerobics high school girls was the highlight of the celebrations.

The programme was followed by Prize Distribution programme. The all round trophy was received by the captain of the houses amidst thunderous applause and cheers.

The function closed with a Vote of Thanks.

As the sports day was celebrated on 26 th January 2008 i.e. Republic Day, Songs and dances were performed by students depicted the rich and diverse culture of our country instilled a spirit of patriotism in the audience.

The meeting was presided over by Mr. VedaKumar, Chairman while addressing the gathering present he expressed that child, Parents and Teachers play a vital role in bringing out the hidden talents of a child. Participation of the students in extra Curricular activities and encouragement of the parents would strengthen the school, he promised to provide the students with experimental place to explore, to develop all round. He thanked the audience for their encouragement.

Miss Parameshwari, congratulated M.S.R. Harith Kumar of class X who is going to receive Bala Sri Award from the President of India shortly. She told that both academic and extra curricular activities are very important for a child's total growth. While sharing her experience she told that a proverb "Failure is path for success" has really proved in her life to achieve her goal. She advised the students to try and try till they succeed in their goal.

Mr. Niyal Yadav, while speaking expressed that he was impressed to watch the exhibition Kabbadi match played by different houses of the group and congratulated the students for their success and wished them all the luck in their future.

The Headmistress, Saileela Reddy, a pillar of strength and support to the Institution read the Annual Sports Report.

Followed by prize distribution, many prizes and Trophies were given to students who fair in different Athletic games conducted on the occasion.

Oxford Grammar School celebrated 26 th Sports cum Annual Day celebration on 10 th & 11 th February 2007 in the School Playground
On the First Day i.e. 10 th February 2007 , Pre-Primary and Primary students displayed their unbeatable talent and proved they were no less than high school students. Parents and invitees attended in large numbers. This showed the kind of involvement created among the parents by the School Management. The Chief Guest for the sports Programme was Mr. S. Jay Raj, Former Director Department of Physical Education, Osmania University , Guest of Honour, Mr. K.A. Shiva Prasad President, AP Chess Association, The special invitees present were Master Md. Shaibeaz Tumbi & Master B. Manoj Kumar upraising cricketers, Provided great inspiration to our students. The programme was presided over by Chairman of Oxford Grammar School, Mr.M.Veda Kumar. Head Mistress Mrs. B. Saileela & Correspondent Mr.M.L.Muralidhar Rao participated
The school is divided into four Groups (i.e. Red Roses, Green Champak, Sun Flower & Blue Bells). Four houses along with schoolhouse performed a spectacular & colourful March past. The Chief Guest Mr. S. Jay Raj took the salute, hoisted the sports flag and declared open the Sports Meet. He praised the various activities undertaken by the school and said that the students are very lucky have a big playground and other facilities to develop their personality and skill. Mrs. B. Saileela, Head Mistress read the Annual Report of the School. The programme started with welcome song invoking Goddess Bharathi followed by Mass Drill, Aerobics, Tribal Dance and Final events in Games and Sports. The ballet on Traditional Games of Andhra Pradesh was a Grand Finale, enthralled the audience by bringing the nostalgic memories to come alive. The last item of the event was Prize distribution Merit & Sports prizes were distributed to the winners.

On 11th February 2007, High School students displayed their talents. It was a colourful and wonderful combination of Sports Final events and Cultural programmes. The Chief Guest was Mr. A. Satyanarayana Reddy, Regional Joint Director of School Education, Government of Ap., The Guest of Honour, Mr. S. M. Ariff, Dronacharya Awardee, International Badminton Coach, Mr. M.Veda Kumar, Chairman of Oxford Grammar School, Mrs. B. Saileela, Head Mistress, OGS & Correspondent Mr. M.L.Muralidhar Rao were present along with the dignitaries on this occasion.

Oxford grammar school is celebrating 25th sports day celebration on 10th & 11th December 2005. This year's sports days assumed to be a special significance, being this a Silver Jubilee Year and the occasion was utilized to celebrate and encourage the tiny tots.

The venue is the schools spacious play ground. Sri Rami Reddy, Former International Athlete & International Coach hoisted the sports flag. He declared the sports day open and took the salute along with the Chairman, Oxford Grammar School Sri Veda Kumar

Mr. Veda Kumar said that, the children have to be exposed to various events suitably to have a good physical fitness at tender age and at later stage this enable the children to select their choice of events in games and sports to become an eminent personality.

The school's report was presented by Head Mistress Mrs. Saileela Reddy, while speaking Sri Rami Reddy expressed his opinion that the school days are memorable days throughout the life. This is the basic step for participating in international sports. This is the channel through which the students can reach international level at the early age. He wished the Oxford Grammar School to achieve a great success in future.  Spectacular events are presented by the students like butterfly drill, pyramids, vandematram & kolattam followed by the prize distribution.
Oxford grammar school celebrated Silver Jubilee sport's day on 11th December 2005. Today's evening programme is presided over by chairman of Oxford Grammar School, Mr. Veda Kumar. Before the meeting the students performed wave dance, pyramids, bamboo dance & vandematram. The high light of the evening is bamboo dance, which was an eye feast to every one.

Mr. S. Balasubrahmanyam, lAS" Commissioner & director of school education, Govt. of AP who was the chief guest is of the opinion that the students performed like professionals. Students are important for the development of our country. Utmost importance should be given to the sports in our over populated country for self-discipline and overall development of the children. Even Government is giving utmost importance to encourage the students to take up the sports as a profession. Even the foreigners feel that India is one when they watch our sports. Our sports personalities like Gopichand, Haritha, Karanam Malleshwari, KoneruHampi etc., are excellent examples for the Government's encourageme11t. He himself wanted to help and develop the sports among students

Sri K. Narsaiah,Special Officer, A.P.Sports School, Hakimpet is also of the opinion that the physical activity is replaced by technology so sports should be given utmost importance to the students. He is of the opinion that human beings should have some thing special than animals. This specialty is followed by practicing the sports for the physical development. Recently in our country parents are discouraging their children to practice the sports. So the Government is giving importance to them. Strong personality development courses should be introduced to achieve the positive attitude of the mind. Through sports only it is possible to achieve positive ideas because of the sportsman spirit.

Miss Haritha, Women's Weight Lifter, Silver Medallist, Common Wealth Games, is also of the opinion for the encouragement of sports by the p3ll"ents and the institutions.

The Head Mistress of the school Mrs. Saileela Reddy presented the school annual sport's report. On this occasion Sri S Balasubrahmanyam IAS falicitated Sri L. Venkatram Reddy, Honorary Secretary, AP Olympic Association on behalf of the school. Prize distribution followed the final events.

54thRepublic Day Celebrations was also observed as SPORTS DAY

54th Republic Day Celebration was also observed as Sports Day by Oxford Grammar School. Mrs. Mulini Reddy Arjuna Award Winner and Indian volley ball player was the chief guest. However Mrs. Sail Leela Reddy, HM and Mr. Muralidhar Rao, Correspondent were also present on the dias.

Speaking on the occasion, Mrs. Mulini Reddy appreciated the work of management which provided a spacious play ground and all the necessary facilities to children for all the games & sports. She said that a child starts playing right from the cradle itself and that play has to continue systematically afterwards also She had observed that usually students are burdened with home works which stop the children from whole heartedly playing the games.

HM. Mrs. Sai Leela Reddy however gave detailed information of how constitution was into force. She also mentioned the countries and persons who were involved in the process.



Chief Guest Mrs. Mulini Reddy gave away the prizes to the winners of different games and sports which were held in the school premises last week.

23rd Annual Day Celebrations
Oxford Grammar School, Himayatnagar celebrated its 23rd Annual day on 3rd Feb. 2004 at Ravindra Bharathi. The eve commenced with pooja dance followed by grand display of cultural programmes. All the items presented were of the high standard and well trained, reflected rainbow varied culture & folk dances of our country. Students put up a magnificent and a colourful show, and conveyed the important messages through their dramas, plays, skit, songs, mime & dances and had proved that they are no less than adults. The students managed the whole programme right from speeches to compering with great verve and spirit and entertained the parents & guests

The meeting started after some cultural items. The Annual report was presented by the Principal. The chief guest Dr. Barry Shapiro, Head of Project Development and Marketing, ICRISAT. He is of the opinion that moral education & character is more important than ordinary education. Allied activities will help the children to become genius. He expressed satisfaction as Oxford Grammar School is following these things. The next speaker Ms. Jennet, the resource person for foundation for advancement of science is of the opinion that love is immeasurable and expressed that aim of the education is not to produce but to impart all round development to become active participants in the society.

Mrs. Nalini Ranga, former principal of Oxford Grammar School spoke that the school started in 1981 and has come a long way with tremendous development and encouragement given by the parents. She advised the students to follow 3D’s that is Devotion, Dedication & Discipline.

While presiding over the meeting and concluding speech Sri Veda Kumar, the Chairman and Honorary Director, pressed the need to follow the education system to suit to the present time, the parents have to involve and encourage the children in this direction and equal responsibility lies on educational institutions, he said. Oxford is imparting education along with exposure to various activities to help the children to have sound physique and mental aptitude. The school is producing an all round personalities to the society with capabilities to face to the present competitive world.

Which is followed by prize distribution. On the eve of Annual day, prizes are awarded to the students as well as teachers. The programme was attended by Mr. M. Muralidhar Rao, Correspondent and Mrs. Sai Leela, Head Mistress.

The Chief Guest in his speech advised the parents to guide their children to select their choice of activity and he insisted the parents to encourage the child to become master in that particular activity. He praised the School Management for arrangements for regular coaching in Games and Sports and Fine Arts apart from the Education.

The Guest of Honour Ms. Methali Raj in her brief speech advised the students to reach the goals with hard work as nothing is impossible in life if we try hard.

Mr. M. Veda Kumar in his presidential address said that Sports cultural must prevail in the minds of children for this purpose, children must be exposed to various kinds of Games and Sports, Fine Arts and performing Arts from Primary level onwards this will enable the children to become an eminent personality in their respective field.
